I've never been a big believer in the whole crop circle phenomenon, but these stunning circles are an entirely different matter. Simon Beck, the crazy dude that creates these, spends up to 10 hours a day creating these beauties with snow shoes. Some of them are the size of 6 football pitches!

Hello possums!!! It's only been a year since I last managed to get myself organised enough to share some beauty, but what a year! So far I've gained a medical problem and lost 16kg. I lost my 20 year old cat to his own greed on the rarest day possible and gained a boyfriend who came with 2 kittens. I've maintained my job, but not my hair colour.... or cut. I bought a 1990 Mk2 Golf GTI. My style has probably changed at least thrice and I've discovered I make excellent jacket potatoes. I still haven't learnt to sew and my "to do" list is still forever changing and growing... hopefully this year I can manage to cross a few more things off and have a slightly less rollercoaster-y time of it. BUT, first thing I can cross off is getting back to beautifying...
RIP Tom. You are missed.
The evil ones, (mother) Casper is the talkative one and (daughter) Squeak of the many, many nicknames is the little one, currently going through a phase of eating everything including aluminium rail, timber, acrylic sheets, handsaws, etc... Their relationship with each other is more like:

Personal mantra this year is to stress less (thank you health for letting me know this was required), so I'll be searching out things that are beautiful and calming and hopefully sharing them on here.
Guess who's just discovered lazertran inkjet? Where have you been all my life!!! For all of you who were also in the dark about this most beautiful of products, lazertran inkjet is a transfer paper that can be printed on to by any inkjet printer and applied to pretty much any surface. For an example, see before and after below:

As promised, I finally got the photos of my beautiful new acquisitions off the old pentax and on to fluffy. This originally started with a desire to change the feel of my main room slightly and create more (pretty) storage at the same time.
First off the bat, an antique oak card file bought from a rag trade warehouse in Chippendale (it still had all the cards in it, going back to 1904!!! I've lent them to my grandmother, but I'll scan in another post just so that you can all see the scrumptious handwriting.)
Next, an uber retro mag file picked up at a garage sale for $8 and an old mango wood bookcase that's beautifully made and unbelievably heavy!

Discovered this little gem through how about orange. Watch some very cool time-lapse movies of sketches being done online or create your own illustration. The colour palette is lovely too!
I love it when I rediscover a blog! A couple of years ago I made a set of memory cards for my grandmother. some of which used beautiful vintage images I found on The Graphics Fairy... I then promptly forgot it existed until today! Browsing through another blog I saw an ad that immediately drew my eye with its pretty vintage type and birds (even though it included "clipart" in the description and I had the obligatory spine shudder at thoughts of microsoft office).
I know I said I'd post some of my new finds over the weekend, but the whole 3 days turned into a bit of a whirlwind and I didn't manage to take the photos I wanted. I did acquire something new and blue though, which will definitely go up with the rest THIS weekend!
Meanwhile, I wanted to share a video of the most awesome bird alive - the moonwalking red-capped manikin. Everytime I watch this I can't stop laughing, thank you QI for enlightening me.
